CP to repair tracks near Seaway Lift Bridge

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke has been informed by Canadian Pacific that crews will be performing repairs to the west railway track south of the Seaway Lift Bridge (next to Services Complex) over the next two weekends.

Work began this morning at 8am and continues until Monday, November 17th at noon.

Crews will remove 700 linear feet of track, excavate muddy ground and install new ballasts. There will be heavy equipment, such as loaders and backhoes in the work vicinity. There will be no hindrance to vehicle traffic.

The continuation of the same work will take place next weekend from Friday, November 21st at 8am until Monday, November 24th at noon.
