Changes to Interim Legislative Coordinating Committee name and mandate

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that Chief and Council have unanimously approved the change in the name of the Interim Legislative Coordinating Committee to the Legislative Coordinating Commission.

The name change better reflects the fact that the new Community Decision Making Process is now operational.

As well, the role of Alternate Community Representatives has been formally incorporated into the (now re-named) Legislative Coordinating Commission Mandate.

Other revisions were made to reflect the name change or to add clarity to the existing document.

The revisions were passed officially at today�s (Monday�s) Council meeting. The Legislative Coordinating Commission Mandate can be viewed at www.kahnawakemakingdecisions.com.
