Youth Forum to host Cirque de Soleil performer

On behalf of the Kahnaw�:ke Youth Forum, Chiefs Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer and John Dee Delormier wish to invite the community to celebrate National Aboriginal Day on Monday, 21 Ohiar�:ha/June at the Kahnaw�:ke Youth Center.

Nakota Larance, one of the stars of the current Cirque de Soleil production �Totem,� will be the special guest of honor. The twenty-year-old hoop dancer expressed a wish to visit Kahnaw�:ke and meet with the young people of the community.

�He�s an inspiration and role model for young people,� said Chief Sky-Deer. �He�s on the world stage now � Cirque de Soleil is internationally know. He�s excited to come to Kahnaw�:ke and meet some of our youth.�

Hot Dogs, hamburgers and drinks will be on sale, with any proceeds going towards youth initiatives. One of those initiatives is a planned trip to see Totem.

The event will start at 4pm and conclude at 7pm.
