MCK receives letter of complaint against Council Chief

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke is informing the community that Chief & Council have received a second letter of complaint against Chief Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer by a community member.

The letter is from the same person who initiated a complaint in November.

The issue was discussed by Chief & Council on Thursday, 2 Kentenhk�:wa/December. Once again, according to procedure, the issue must be addressed as per the Disciplinary Measures of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke. As well, according to procedure, the community is to be informed.

As the new complaint is related to the original, Chief & Council deemed there is no need to name an outside investigator at this time, as the original complaint is still under investigation by the Kahnaw�:ke Peacekeepers.
