Mercier Bridge: Inspection work planned for the next weeks

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that the Minist�re des Transports (MTQ) will perform inspection work on the Kahnaw�:ke bound lanes of the Mercier Bridge over the next 5 weeks, approximately.

The results of these inspections will identify and prioritize interventions on the bridge to eventually allow the return of heavy vehicles on the Kahnaw�:ke bound lanes.

Inspection work will take place at the following times:

- Saturdays midnight to Sundays 9pm: Kahnaw�:ke bound lanes closed and counter flow traffic on the Montreal-bound lanes.

- Mondays to Fridays from 7am until 7pm: inspection work under the bridge - no obstruction to traffic.

- Tuesdays to Fridays from 7pm until 5am: Kahnaw�:ke bound lanes closed and counter flow traffic on the Montreal-bound lanes.

On weekdays, Kahnaw�:ke bound lanes will be re-open at 5 AM.

Please note the possibility of closures on Friday nights due to unfavorable weather conditions, as well as significant impact to the length of the schedule for the same reasons. The MTQ promises to inform the public of any changes to the schedule in due time.
