Mercier Bridge: inspection continues for the next few weeks

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform motorists that the Minist�re des Transports will continue inspection work on the Kahnaw�:ke-bound lanes of the Mercier Bridge until the end of March on the following schedule:

- Saturdays 3am to Sunday 9pm: Kahnaw�:ke-bound lanes closed with traffic detoured to the Montreal-bound span with one lane in each direction.

- Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm: inspection work under the bridge. No obstruction to traffic.

- Tuesday to Friday from 7pm to 5am: Kahnaw�:ke-bound lanes closed with traffic detoured to the Montreal-bound span with one lane in each direction.

Possible closures may occur on Friday night if the weather is not favorable.

The results of these inspections will identify and prioritize repairs required on the bridge to eventually allow the return of heavy vehicles on the Kahnaw�:ke-bound lanes. Inspections began this past February.
