Casino Proposal now available for viewing

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that a video version of the Land-Based gaming research presentation made at the Fall Community Meeting is now available for viewing on Paul�s Cable channel 3 (CKER, �the Seeker�) and the www.kahnawake.com website.

The 30-minute presentation will be broadcast at various times throughout the CKER schedule; check the station for exact times.

The presentation presents a snapshot of the Phase 1 research that was conducted and provides a description of Phase 2 of the Project.

The MCK announced earlier this year that it would explore the option of opening a community-operated gaming facility to help address funding shortfalls that are befalling Kahnaw�:ke organizations, including the MCK itself.

No decisions are being made in the first two exploratory Phases, other than the selection of a consulting firm to conduct a number of studies to help the MCK determine the next steps.

The community will be informed of any and all developments on this import initiative.
