Proposed casino Technical Survey announced

The Kahnaw�:ke Casino Project Team is pleased to announce that IPSOS-Reid will be conducting the technical survey to gauge Kahnaw�:ke feedback on the proposed project, beginning February 1st. People will be randomly called. The entire survey should not take longer than 5 minutes. Please participate if you are called.

The purpose of the survey is gauge Community opinion on the proposed casino project to help Council Chiefs decide the next steps in the project and if a referendum should take place. A proposed casino WILL NOT BE BUILT based on this survey alone. Only a referendum will decide if the project will move forward.

In order to produce results that represent the views of the entire community, only a random sample of 400 residents is needed to complete the survey. Based on our population size, these results will accurately reflect the overall views of our residents. Therefore, there is a chance that you may not be called. It is important to emphasize that calls will be randomly selected by a neutral party. Hand picking 400 respondents does not result in an accurate survey.
 
The survey will conclude on February 15th.
