Special Community Meeting for Appointment of Electoral Officer for 2012 MCK Elections

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to announce that Timmy Norton has been nominated for Electoral Officer of the 2012 MCK Elections.

In accordance with section 3.4 of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Election Law a community meeting must be held for the appointment of the Electoral Officer for the 2012 MCK Elections.

The Electoral Officer, who is to be appointed by the community, is responsible to perform all duties pertaining to the 2012 MCK Election as set out in the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Election Law. This community meeting will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Golden Age Club at 10:00 a.m. with no other agenda items to follow.

Mr. Norton was the sole nominee for the position and has met all eligibility requirements.
