Distribution of portfolios held by former Chief Delormier

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community of the distribution of portfolios held by former Chief John Dee Delormier for the remainder of the current Council  term. As many portfolios have two council members on the files, in most cases there were no replacements.

The changes are as follows: Chief Clinton Phillips has stepped in on the Lands (Land Management, Land Allotment & Quarry) file along with Chief Carl Horn; Chief Lloyd Phillips will take on the full Economic Development file, including Third Party-Telecom; Chief Kasennenhawe-Sky Deer maintains the Youth file; while Chief Peggy Mayo-Standup assumes the Kahnawake Gaming Commission file, with assistance of Grand Chief Mike Delisle as needed.

Chief Delormier was first elected in 2006, serving two terms and served his last day in office on April 10th. Chief Delormier is pursuing a career with the Kahnawake Peacekeepers.
