Land surveyors on Highway 30

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform community members that the Minist�re des Transport du Quebec (MTQ) will be in the area  of Kahnaw�:ke�s southern boundary from Tuesday,  July 2nd to Friday, August 3rd.

The MTQ, accompanied by a technician from the MCK�s Lands Unit, will be surveying the land along Kahnaw�:ke�s southern boundary on Highway 30, from Route 132 west to Boulevard Industriel in Chateauguay.

Photographs will be taken of the land and nearby landmarks in order to develop location certificates, which is a requirement of the Federal Government�s Additions To Reserve Policy.

The work by the MTQ is being done as part of the return of lands for Highway 30.
