Water Shut-Offs

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke regrets to inform the community that crews have begun shutting water service off to residents who have not paid their annual $59 fee. Home water shut-offs occur annually and water is restored once payment is received. All homeowners receiving a water shut off have been advised of this twice since the payment deadline of March 31. Each home had over 3 months to pay.

We urge all Community members to check in with their family members to see if they have not paid and had their water shut off. Often, some believe the water shut off is temporary and do not realize the reason for the shut-off.

If your water has been turned off, you must pay the regular $59 plus a re-connection fee of $10 before the water is turned back on.
