Notice - Brush Cutting course underway in Tioweroton

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that a brush cutting course is underway in the Tiowero:t�n Territory. It is being sponsored by Tewatohnhi�saktha and operated by Rexforet. Eight Kahnawa�kehr�:non are participating, along with an Algonquin Native from Kitigan Zibi.  

�The safety aspect of brush cutting is taking place in the bush, where the participants can get a real feel for what they�re supposed to be doing,� said Chief Martin Leborgne. �We�d like to assure community members that absolutely no brush or trees are being cut or damaged.�

Tewatohnhi�saktha is expected to make a formal announcement on the course in the coming days.
