Be cautious of Water Filtration Scam

The Community Protection Unit is reminding the community to be cautious of a Water Filtration Systems company who is currently attempting to sell water filtration units door to door or by telephone.

Solicitors offer a water filtration system that claims to clean and filter the �unsafe� drinking water in Kahnaw�:ke and even offers free testing to prove it. This system is expensive and NOT necessary.

The Water Filtration Plant and Environmental Health Services have confirmed that the quality of water in the community is both safe for consumption and of a higher quality than some of our neighboring communities.

Please be cautious when contacted by this company because they often provide false information and-or utilize scare tactics to sell their products. Anyone who is approached is asked to contact the Community Protection Unit at (450) 632-0635.
