30 Day Community Review - Amendments to Landfill Policy & Procedures for Clean Soil

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform Kahnawa�kehr�:non that it is conducting a thirty (30) day community consultation to review amendments to the Landfill Policy & Procedures for Clean Soil beginning on Monday, February 4th.

The amendments were unanimously approved in principle by Chief & Council at yesterday�s Council meeting. Most of the changes related to the document�s organization, communications, procedures and appendices.

The Draft Landfill Policy & Procedures for Clean Soil can be viewed on the main page of www.kahnawake.com. Hard copies can be obtained at the Capital Unit, MCK main reception area and at the Community Protection Unit.

Community members are asked to review the draft policy and procedures. The 30-day Community Review period will be from Monday, February 4, 2013 to Friday, March 15, 2013.
