Community invited to attend Cycle of Ceremonies workshop


The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) Language & Culture Training Center is inviting community members to the next workshop in the Kanien′kehá:ka Aóhsera/Cycle of Ceremonies Workshop Series.

The ′Ahatishestáta & Wáhta tsi Na’teiethinonhwerá:tons/Tapping the Trees & Maple Ceremonies′ workshop will be held this Friday, February 22nd from 8:30am to noon at the MCK Language & Culture Training Center (1st floor of K103 Radio building).

All workshops are free and open to the community to attend but registration is required as space is limited. Contact Chera Lahache at 450-632-5993 or to register or for more information.

The workshops are designed to explain the various traditional ceremonies/festivals conducted throughout the Kanien′kehá:ka ceremonial calendar year and encourage participants to attend these various longhouse ceremonies/festivals with confidence.

Announcements of upcoming workshops will be made throughout the calendar year.
