Chief Lloyd Phillips attending AFNQL meetings on Education

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that Chief Lloyd Phillips will be in Odenak on Wednesday, March 13th to attend an Assembly of First Nations of Quebec & Labrador special meeting on Education.

The meeting is being organized to discuss Aboriginal and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) Funding Formulas for Education and the proposed Federal Education Act.

�We are looking for common political ground with other first Nations to address funding issues,� said Chief Lloyd Phillips. �The primary discussion is going to be assessing and developing strategy to deal with the proposed Federal Education Act.�
