Next Membership Law Amendments meeting set for Thursday 21March

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) wishes to remind Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the fourth Community Consultation on amendments to the Kahnaw�:ke Membership Law will take place from 6pm to 8:30pm next Thursday (21 Ennisk�:wa/March) at the Karonhian�nhnha School Gymnasium.

The specific item discussed last at the third Consultation was the criteria for Membership. Consensus was not reached on the amendments and the meeting will continue where it left off.

Once consensus is reached on amendments, a working group that includes community representatives will be created and the process for drafting the actual amendments will begin.
