Ban on open fires LIFTED

The Community Protection Unit (CPU) of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke, along with the Kahnawake Fire Brigade, would like to inform the public that the Ban on Open Fires has been lifted.

�There�s been enough precipitation within both Kahnaw�:ke and Tiower�:ton to enable us to lift the ban,� said Director of CPU Kellyann Meloche. �We are also expecting more rain but we would still like the community to be diligent and �fire aware� to protect our beautiful communities.�
