Complete closure of the Mercier Bridge tonight

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform road-users that the Minist�re des Transports du Qu�bec will be performing emergency repairs to the concrete slab requiring the complete closure of the Mercier Bridge tonight, Thursday, July 25th from 8pm until tomorrow, Friday, July 26th at 5am.

The emergency repairs will take place on the Kahnaw�:ke-bound side of the bridge and, due to the major work already being executed by the Jacques Cartier Champlain Bridges Incorporated and its detour configuration, there is no choice but to close the entire bridge to traffic.

Motorists should plan ahead and take an alternative route to access the island of Montreal, such as the Jacques Cartier Bridge or AutoRoute 30.

The MCK wishes to remind the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
