Rainfall warning for Thursday

The Community Protection Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to advise the community that a large amount of rainfall is expected in the Monteregie and Eastern Townships areas on Thursday, September 12th.

A possible 40 to 60 millimeters of rain will fall throughout the day. 

Community members are strongly advised to monitor daily weather reports and ensure they are prepared for the large amounts of water by:

-    ensuring home sump pumps are operating properly;
-    ensuring home rain gutters are clear of debris; and
-    avoiding driving during the extreme weather conditions;
