Investigator appointed in complaint against Chief Rhonda Kirby

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that an Investigator has been selected today in regard to a complaint received from a community member against Chief Rhonda Kirby earlier this month.

Chief & Council were unanimous in their support of the appointment of Rish Handa, Attorney at Law, in accordance with the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Disciplinary Measures Regulations. He will be responsible to investigate the complaint, and to submit a final report and recommendations within thirty (30) days of this appointment.

The complaint is in relation to alleged conduct by Chief Kirby in the course of carrying out her duties as a Council Chief.
