Executive Summary and Recommendations from Investigation into the Dismissal of Former Director of Education released to public

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that the Executive Summary and Recommendations from the Investigation into the Dismissal of the Former Director of Education have been released to the public.

On 12, Kentenhk�:wa/November 2013, the Investigation Steering Committee held a Special Assembly to present and release the Executive Summary and Recommendations. The Executive Summary and Recommendations are now also available for community members to access online at www.kahnawake.com, or receive a copy in person at the MCK office.

The MCK commends the Investigation Steering Committee members, Patsy Bordeau Marlyn Kane, and Shirley Meloche, for their significant time and contributions in guiding the Investigation.

�This is an opportunity for all parties involved to takes lessons learned and use the recommendations to strengthen and enhance how our education system functions,� said Education Portfolio Chief Rhonda Kirby. �We need to remember that our priority is our children�s education and that there is no other way to accomplish our goals than to work together.�
