Reminder- Kahnawake Justice System Law meeting at Golden Age Club

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to remind the community that the second Community Consultation on the second draft of the proposed Kahnaw�:ke Justice System Law takes place tomorrow (Tuesday 4, Enn�ska/February 2014), from 6pm to 8:30pm.

Please note that this meeting will be held at the Golden Age Club. Previous meetings had been located at the Karonhian�nhnha School gymnasium.

The meeting will begin at Section 5 (�Court of Kahnaw�:ke Judgments�) and Section 6 (�Appeals from the Court of Kahnaw�:ke in Criminal Matters�). Those planning to participate are asked to review the current draft, copies of which are available at the Court of Kahnaw�:ke in the village area, the MCK main office, or online at www.kahnawakemakingdecisions.com.

The proposed law is now in its Second Reading which, in the Community Decision Making Process, takes place once a second draft of a proposed law or amendment to a law is completed. Today (3, Enn�ska/February 2014) marks the fourth anniversary of the Community Mandate to proceed with a Kahnaw�:ke Justice System Law.
