Three Chiefs attending Iroquois Caucus

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Chiefs Martin Leborgne, Bobby Patton and Gina Deer are in Six Nations to attend meetings of the Iroquois Caucus today and tomorrow (Thursday and Friday).

MCK technician Dennis Diabo is accompanying the Chiefs.

Agenda items include discussions on tobacco (in particular, Canada�s proposed C10 �anti-contraband� legislation); education; taxation; and border crossing issues.

Chief Deer is attending due to her role as the MCK lead on the Tobacco file. She will return to Kahnaw�:ke upon completion of that agenda item.
