Phase II of Section 95 Social Housing Program set to begin

The Housing Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce that construction will begin in late May on Phase II of the Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation (CMHC) Section 95 Social Housing Program.

The MCK Capital Unit will soon begin construction of four (4) three (3) bedroom affordable rental units to be constructed in the South Texas area on common-land located on Reserve Lots 106-7 & 14 and 111-16 & 19, all in Block G.

The program was originally announced in May 2013 when the Housing Department received approval of a CMHC Section 95 Social Housing Program subsidy totaling $937,420. Four (4) single bedroom units were constructed as part of Phase I.
