Chiefs to attend AFN Special Chiefs Assembly in Ottawa

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Grand Chief Michael Ahr�hron Delisle, Jr. and Chief Lloyd Phillips will be attending the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Special Chiefs Assembly in Ottawa tomorrow, May 27th.
 
The primary portion of the agenda will focus the AFN�s position moving forward regarding Bill C-33, Canada�s First Nations Control of First Nations Education Act. Chiefs Delisle and Phillips will reiterate Kahnaw�:ke�s unified position.

The 2nd portion of the meeting will cover the process of electing a new National Chief. The Special Chiefs Assembly will be webcast at www.afn.ca.
