Clarification - Grand Chief visit to Deerfield, Massachusetts

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to clarify certain information released earlier today in regard to Grand Chief Michael Ahr�hron Delisle, Jr.�s visit to Deerfield, Massachusetts tomorrow (Friday).

The previous release indicated that representatives of the Kanien�keh�:ka Onkwaw�n:na Raotiti�hkwa (KOR) Cultural Center would be participating in the visit; however, this is not exactly the case.

Ms. Fran Beauvais, a former KOR board member, will be participating in the visit to Deerfield. For clarity, she does not currently have a formal role within the KOR.

A number of students from Deerfield Academy will be visiting Kahnaw�:ke in mid-October. The KOR will be participating in an official manner at that time.
