Animal Protection � new rates for 2015

The Animal Protection Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that new rates for 2015 have been established for the various services they provide. Prices will be brought closer in line with other service providers and Animal Control departments in the area.
 
Deidre Whyte of Animal Protection explains that the new rate schedule is necessary to ensure the continuation of the many vital services offered to pet owners.

"Lack of dollars has always been an issue and up until now we′ve been able to keep prices extremely low but the current reality dictates otherwise. We want to remain competitive with clinics and other service providers outside of the community but at the same time attempt to keep our prices affordable."

The new rates will be implemented gradually over the next few months. Full details on the new rates can be obtained by calling the Community Protection Unit at 450-632-0635.

"We want to make people aware about the new rates, we don′t want to just implement changes and not inform the community," continued Whyte.
