Icebreaker expected on Thursday - Stay off the ice!

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that icebreaking operations are expected to begin tomorrow (Thursday) in the Kahnaw�:ke region of the St. Lawrence Seaway.

The icebreaker travels very quickly during its operation, with obvious dangers to anyone on the ice. The MCK reminds Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the only safe area is on the shore.

The Seaway is scheduled to begin full operation next week.
