Reminder - Electoral Officer Call for Nominations for 2015 MCK Elections

The Executive Director�s Office of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to remind the community that the Call for Nominations for the Electoral Officer of the 2015 Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Elections ends tomorrow, Thursday, April 2nd at 4pm.

Nominations must be proposed and seconded by two Nominators who are listed as members on the Kahnaw�:ke Kanien�keh�:ka Registry.

Nominees must sign a privacy waiver to allow verification that they meet the following eligibility requirements:

�    must be over the age of twenty-one (21) years;
�    must meet the requirements of the Kahnaw�:ke Membership Law and be listed as a member on the Kahnaw�:ke Kanien�keh�:ka Registry;
�     must be ordinarily resident in Kahnaw�:ke; and
�     must not have been, within the previous six (6) years, convicted and sentenced for a criminal offense. The six (6) year ban commences only after sentence has been served in full.

The nomination period began on Thursday 19, Ennisk�:wa/March.

Community members who wish to nominate a candidate can pick up nomination forms during regular business hours at the main building of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke.
