Water & Sewer line installation starts next week Indian Way School area

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to remind the Community of the upcoming project to install water & sewer lines in the Indian Way School area. Work is scheduled to start during the week Monday, May 25th and continue until the end of November 2015.

A complete road closure will be necessary in the area (see picture below) during the works. Anyone wishing to access the area will have to enter via an alternate route (from Route 207 or the South Texas railroad crossing).
 


The installation will start on the south side of the CP railroad and head southwest towards Indian Way School. The remainder of the works on the north side of the railway will take place once the south side is completed.

Once the works are completed, a new road base and asphalt surface will be installed. All private properties that are affected by the work (i.e. driveways, walkways, hedges and/or fences) will be repaired or replaced prior to the completion of the project.
