Info session for proposed Kahnawake Tobacco Law to be held tonight

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) wishes to remind the community that a formal information session will take place this evening, at which time the proposed Kahnaw�:ke Tobacco Law will be read in its entirety. The community feedback for the draft will also be presented at this time, to be followed by a question and answer period.

The event is scheduled for 6pm to 8:30pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Please note that no decisions will be made at this meeting.  A working group consisting of the Kahnawake Tobacco Association and the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) have agreed to proceed in this manner in an effort to have community members gain a clear understanding of the proposed law.

Once this is completed, the KLCC will announce the next steps in the process.
