Iroquois Caucus meetings underway in Ottawa

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that Chiefs Martin Leborgne and Bobby Patton are attending the Iroquois Caucus meetings taking place today (Wednesday) and tomorrow in Ottawa.

Agenda items include the following:

  • Tobacco
  • Recent activities regarding pipelines in Quebec
  • Updates on planned summits on Economic Development; Taxation; Revenue Generation; and Language
The Iroquois Caucus consists of elected Council Chiefs from Akwesasne, Kahnaw�:ke, Kanesatake, Tyendinaga, Wahta, Six Nations and the Oneida of the Thames.
