Waste Management services moves to Public Works

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that effective April 1st, Waste Management moves under the authority of Public Works with a new office location at the Town Garage.

For several years, Waste Management (Recycling Depot, Transfer Depot, household waste and recycling pickup) fell under the direction of the Environment Protection Office. Moving forward, all waste management activities will be taken care of by Public Works.

There will be no change to recycling, garbage or pickup services provided to the community and the Recycling and Transfer Depots will remain at the current locations. However, the office of the Waste Management Program Manager Holly McComber, is now located at the Town Garage.

 �Aligning all waste management activities under the guidance of one department streamlines the management of the services we provide to the community,� stated Director of Public Works, Brendan Montour.
