Annual $59 Water Fee now past due

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) is informing residents that the Annual $59 Water fee is past due, as of April 1st.

Payments can be made weekdays at the MCK main building between the hours of 8:30am and 4pm. Accepted forms of payments are cash, cheque, Interac and VISA.
 
Community members are urged to pay the fee as soon as possible to avoid being added to the list of homes that will be subject to water shut offs and a re-connection fee.
 
Additionally, rural homeowners who have not paid will be responsible to pay their own repairs for well/septic systems that may fail.
 
The $59 Water Fee offsets the cost of Water & Sewer services in the Community, which is approximately $1,250,000 annually, or $600 per home.
