Federal Minister of Infrastructure visits Kahnawake

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that Canada�s Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, Amarjeet Sohi, will be in Kahnaw�:ke today to meet with Chief Christine Zachary-Deom and Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton.

The agenda will include discussions on the need to adequately accommodate Kahnaw�:ke�s needs in relation to the new Champlain Bridge project, and to present infrastructure needs within the community.

Representatives for the Kanien�keh�:ka Onkwaw�n:na Raotiti�hkwa Cultural Center and Kahnaw�:ke�s theater group have been invited to be present at the meeting.
