Notice regarding Call for Potential Jurors

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that, in the court case of �Rice et al. v. Agence du revenue du Qu�bec et al.�, the Judge has issued a call for potential jury members to be included in a List for Jury Duty.

Specifically, the Judge has indicated the intention that there be Mohawks included in the pool of potential jurors, as the case involves a Mohawk of Kahnaw�:ke.

The MCK has been informed that prospective jurors are usually contacted by telephone.

This message is being issued as a matter of public interest. The MCK does not advocate one way or another on this type of matter.
