CP to install new railway switches near South Texas

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke has been informed by Canadian Pacific that work is planned to install new switches at mile 39 of the Adirondack Subdivision (located near South Texas) over the next two weekends.

This Saturday and Sunday (August 13 & 14), crews will be off-loading the switches on the right-of-way, requiring two 200 ton cranes to gain access through the Mohawk Trail crossing area.



The following weekend (August 20 & 21) crews will need to access the Mohawk Trail crossing area with two excavators to install the cross-over.

The work will be carried out between 7am- 7pm on all days, barring unexpected delays.
