Proposed Demolition Waste Recycling to be re-tabled

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke is informing the community that the 30-Day Period to submit comments for the proposed Demolition Waste Recycling (DWR) regulations ended on Wednesday, July 20th.

A total of four (4) Community members submitted comments on the new draft regulations, of which 3 had a direct interest in the DWR industry.

Finances and Environmental requirements were the main areas of concern.

The DWR Working Group is currently in the process of reviewing and conducting further research based on the comments/feedback received.

Upon completion, the DWR Draft Regulations will be presented to Chief and Council for their consideration and approval.
