Membership Law Hearing tomorrow (Tuesday), reminder of changes to agenda

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) would like to remind the community that the next Hearing on proposed amendments to the Kahnaw�:ke Membership Law is scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.

Revisions to the agenda were requested by the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) Membership Department, the proponents of the proposed amendments, along with the MCK Membership Portfolio Chiefs. The proponents feel that all discussion revolving around �Approved Kahnaw�:ke Residents� would be more appropriately addressed in the Community Decision Making Process for a residency law � which has already been proposed.

The revised agenda is as follows:
�    Sec. 16, Entitlements of the Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke
�    Sec. 18, Responsibilities of Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke
�    Sec. 20.1, Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke Pledge and Oath of Respect
�    Any relevant/related Definitions

The Hearing, which will be the 15th meeting in this First Hearing phase of the Community Decision Making Process, will take place on Tuesday, 13 Seskehk�:wa/ September 2016 from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Golden Age Club.
