Consultation on Legal Cannabis begins

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that a 30-day Community Consultation on the possibility of Kahnaw�:ke entering the legal cannabis industry and what the Community will do regarding pending legislation in Canada to legalize Cannabis begins today, Thursday, June 1st through June 30th.
 
A major component of the consultation includes a Technical Survey, which will be carried out by randomly calling telephone numbers listed in the Kahnaw�:ke Directory. If your number is not listed in the Directory and you would like it added to the pool to potentially be called, please contact MCK Public Relations at 450-632-7500 by Friday, June 9th.
 
The educational phase has been ongoing since mid-May. A web page containing all pertinent information has also been created at www.kahnawake.com/legalcannabis .

All input received during this 30-day review, including the technical survey, will be reviewed by Chief and Council in early July.
