Moose reported in cabin area of Tiower�:ton

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wish to inform the Community that the Tiower�:ton Caretakers reported that a moose had been seen in the cabin area last Saturday afternoon and was acting in a manner not usual to moose.

The Caretakers have since been monitoring its movement in hopes that it would return into the bush outside the cabin area. Unfortunately, it has remained in the cabin area and is fearless of humans and has since become aggressive and is charging passing vehicles.

For the safety of Community Members the moose will be taken down. Community Members are requested to keep a safe distance from the moose and allow the Caretakers to address the situation.
