2017 Curbside Leaf Collection service

The Kahnaw�:ke Waste Management Department is pleased to announce that the Curbside Leaf Collection service will take place on the same day as your regular recycling pickup during the weeks of October 23rd � 26th and November 6th � 9th.

Community members who would like to use this service are asked to ensure that only leaves are placed in Paper Bags, and placed curbside by 7 am.

This year�s goal is to use only paper bags for composting because plastic bags or bags that have contents other than leaves contaminate the finished compost material.

This service is offered to provide an alternative to throwing fallen leaves into the garbage. Collected leaves will be composted at the Transfer Depot rather than wasted in a landfill.
