MCK takes action against third-party misinformation

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that it is taking steps to correct misleading and false information hosted on a third-party for profit business-to-business (B2B) information data base website.

It has come to our attention that the MCK has been falsely labelled as �Mohawk Council of Kahnawake Incorporated� on Zoominfo.com, while listing several employee contacts (including former employees and chiefs) as well as erroneous financial information. This alleged entity has an address listed as �601 South 12th Street TSA 901, Arlington, Virginia 22202 United States.�

Please note that this address is actually the location of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Department of Homeland Security, which are both U.S. Government agencies. The same Arlington address actually appears on the MCK website in order to direct community members to the TSA to make complaints under the Traveler Redress Inquiry Program if they have complaints regarding crossing the U.S. border -

The MCK has contacted Zoominfo.com to remove the listing and to determine the source of this erroneous information.

�The names of 67 current and former staff are listed, along with false financial information,� said Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton. �All of our assets are publicly disclosed in our audited financial statements. How this company has created its so-called �financial information� is a question that they have yet to answer.�

�The MCK has no business operation or affiliation of any kind in the United States,� he added. �And, most certainly, the MCK has never had any contact or contract with Zoominfo.com. We are exploring our options in this matter and will address them as soon as possible.�
