Kanien�keh�ka of Kahnawake Law meeting tomorrow (Tuesday), dates set for next meetings

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission would like to remind the community that the third meeting of the Community Decision Making Process Second Hearing for the proposed amendments to the Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke Law (formerly known as the Kahnaw�:ke Membership Law) will take place tomorrow (Tuesday, 24, Oneraht�kha/April 2018) at the Golden Age Club.

The agenda will be as follows:

�    Definitions to revisit: Common-Law Relationship; Iah teionkweh�nwe
�    Composition and powers of the Community Review Board
�    Application for Recognition
�    Adopted Children
�    Responsibilities of Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke
�    Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke Pledge
�    Suspension of Entitlements
�    Revocation of Entitlements
�    Renunciation
�    Regulations
�    Transitory Provisions

Dates have been confirmed for the fourth and fifth meetings. These will be held on 1 and 15, Onerahtohk�:wa/May 2018 at the Golden Age Club. Both dates are Tuesday.

Hearings begin promptly at 6:00pm and end at 8:30pm. Copies of the Draft Law are available online at www.kahnawakemakingdecisions.com.
