Fire Ban lifted for Tioweroton and Kahnawake

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Public Safety Unit and the Kahnawake Fire Brigade wish to inform the community that the fire ban, in effect within the Territory and Tiower�:ton since June 27, has been lifted.

�Dry weather conditions caused a ban right across the province,� said Arnold Lazare, Director of Public Safety. �Recent rains have helped alleviate the situation, but we still recommend residents remain prudent when having an open pit fire.�
