Kahnaw�:ke Labor Office launches Website

The Kahnaw�:ke Labor Office (KLO) is pleased to announce the launch of their new website www.kahnawakelabor.com.

The website offers clients access to up-to-date forms, policies and information regarding Labor Agreements and KLO services, such as Mohawk Self Insurance, Occupational Health & Safety, the Kahnaw�:ke Fair Wage in Construction Program, and Safety and Injury Prevention.

�Our goal is to make Kahnawake′s workforce the best,� said Labor Officer Director Michael O�Brien. �We do this by ensuring our workers are properly trained, get a fair wage, have a safe work environment, and receive proper treatment in the unfortunate event of an injury while working on the Territory.�

The mandate of the KLO is to administer programs, policies and procedures covering construction, compensation for industrial accidents and occupational diseases, as well as occupational health and safety on the Territory.
