Important agenda item added for Fall Community Meeting tonight

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to advise the community that an additional agenda item has been added to tonight�s Fall Community Meeting.

The new item will be the course of action being taken by the MCK to address Canada�s S-3 amendments to the Indian Act, which is expected to result in significantly large numbers of �Status Indians� being added to the list of registered Mohawks on the federal list.

A presentation is to be made and a statement released to the community and media on this matter.

The new Agenda is as follows:

1.    Land Allotments
2.    MCK actions regarding Canada�s S-3 Legislation
3.    Tiower�:ton
4.    Cannabis
5.    Open Discussion

The meeting will be held at the Golden Age Club and will begin at 7pm sharp.
