Dog Virus Alert

The Animal Control Department of the Community Protection Unit (CPU) is advising all Kahnawa�kehr�:non who have had dogs at the Kahnaw�:ke Pound between May 3rd and May 8th, that your dog may have been exposed to a virus known as Parvo. The virus which could be fatal to dogs, is passed through the feces of canines.

Animal Control is currently disinfecting the pound and all dogs are being taken to the SPCA in the meantime. Dog owners can find out more information by calling the Animal Control Department at 450-632-0635, or by contacting their vet.
